You know those families that take those Progression Pictures, where they take the same picture every year to show how much their kids grow? I’ve always loved those and wanted to do that for my little family. I was never sure which picture that I wanted to re-create however. Add to the fact that parenting is exhausting AF and you’ll see why I’ve never gotten around to doing it. Fortunately fate, and a great phone camera gave me the perfect opportunity to re-create some memories.
In a moment of spontaneity, We went for a walk at Brookside Gardens after picking Action up from Daycare. We visited the area where we took Action’s 6-month professional photos. Being that it was the 4-year anniversary of those photos, I wanted to re-create the magic of that day. Between the Missus and myself, we were able to re-create some of the photos. However, being that we used a photographer to take the original pics, we were unable to re-create my favorite photo of the 3 of us sitting by the water fountain.
In a stroke of good fortune, A friend happened to be walking by with her husband. I asked them if they would be so kind to take some photos of us and they obliged. These pictures turned out better than I’d hoped!
Below are my favorite pictures from the series. I may have more gray hairs (and a lot less of it) but I’m very happy how these photos turned out. I encourage all parents to try these progression pics. Watching your children grow in photos is a beautiful thing.
